Orthopaedic Sports Inc. (OSI) was selected by 3M to provide onsite Physical Therapy services for 3M employees because of our patient care model, outcomes, and existing relationships with the 3M medical clinic and staff.

OSI began providing services in November of 2005, offering appointments on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Demand for services increased rapidly and additional hours were added. Since starting onsite care in November of 2005 over 350 3M employees have utilized services.

Onsite Physical Therapy is available to all 3M employees and there are no co-pays or out of pocket expenses to the employee since 3M is offering the service as an employee benefit. The benefit to 3M is that onsite services keep their employees healthy and decrease the away from work time needed for outside appointments.

The therapists providing services at 3M have advanced training and clinical experience in manual therapy, orthopaedic and sports medicine, ASTYM, and occupational health. They also have access to the onsite fitness center and work with the personal trainers to set up exercise programs that meet the individual employee’s needs.
